EHS 0502 LBNL UAS Pilot & Observer

This training is for staff who need to operate an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) commonly referred to as a drone.

To become a certified operator you need to complet e(1) EHS 0502 and (2) pass an FAA proctored exam (described below).

1: EHS 0502 LBNLL UAS Pilot and Observer

• A 2-3 day course (duration depends on number of people enrolled), provides the student with an understanding and proficiency regarding the regulatory, technical and practical aspects of operating UAS as a Remote Pilot In Command and/or Observer for missions conducted by LBNL staff. A maximum of six students can be accommodated in a scheduled course.

2: UAS FAA Part 107 certification
